Mature in Virtue

5th grade boys picture

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge.
2 Peter 1:3-5

All education is formative. It does more than fill our minds with knowledge and build a skillset. It influences who we are. All education carries in it an underlying “doctrine,” a set of fundamental beliefs about the world and how we ought to live in it. All education is a form of discipleship.

God’s word draws a close connection between faith, knowledge, and virtue. Our classical Christian mission aims at providing an education that intentionally adds virtue to knowledge, trusting in the Truth of God’s word as both the foundation and the framework that prepares us for meaningful work and living.
At Holy Trinity, we work to cultivate these virtues in ourselves and in students, praying that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, they come to characterize our lives as mature men and women, fully equipped to live free and flourishing lives for the glory of God and the good of the world.

If you want an educational partner to work with you in cultivating virtue in your child, we’d love to hear from you.
