Nourishing the Body

Powerful
In addition to extra-curricular Athletics, Holy Trinity Classical Christian School nourishes the whole student body as part of our academic curriculum:
- Physical Education
- Recess
- Field Day and other All-School Events
At Holy Trinity Classical Christian School, nourishing the body works in tandem with developing the mind and cultivating the soul of all students.
Play Hard
Physical Education classes at Holy Trinity Classical Christian School can be summed up in one word, FUN! Students try new sports, get out of their comfort zones, and learn the importance of teamwork as they delight in:
- Learning about active/healthy ways of living
- Exposure to exercises that can be used throughout one’s life
- Introduction to new sports & challenges (You never know if you will be good at something unless you try it!)
- The basics of playing hard…and well
- Maintaining a good attitude
- Understanding that even when losing, there is something to be learned (and even celebrated!)
- Encouraging one’s teammates
- Enjoying the win!
As most things require teamwork, the sooner young people can learn to work with others on and off the playing field, the better prepared they will be for difficult tasks and challenges later in life.
Childhood
Holy Trinity Classical Christian School believes recess time is an important part of childhood.
Children work hard in the classroom, and value a time for physical release. Grammar School students have a morning and afternoon recess, and while Upper School students have an afternoon recess.
Teachers at Holy Trinity Classical Christian School join in the fun daily for competitive, but friendly, games of soccer, kickball, and basketball. Teachers and students alike value competing outside of the classroom, fostering meaningful relationships based on teamwork and camaraderie.
Camaraderie
Part of the joy of being at a small school is that one has the opportunity to be part of school traditions from the onset. One of the most coveted traditions at Holy Trinity Classical Christian School is that of Field Day.
A week’s worth of activities for the entire school divided into teams, identified by various colored Field Day shirts, fuels friendly competition and a spirit of excitement that summer is approaching. Holy Trinity Classical Christian School students and parents cheer for their teams, as well as for their teachers, who also compete (and set a good example when they lose)!
Younger children appreciate the opportunity to be on a team of students of varying ages, all led by upper school captains. The day is typically capped off by the Beaufort Fire Department coming to cool the students down with a much needed spray of water!
