Mrs. Gretchen Sosnowski

Upper School Humanities (9th Grade)
 
Gretchen Sosnowski received her B.A. in English with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts in Religion, with a focus in Biblical Studies, from Trinity School for Ministry. Gretchen served as an assistant and taught writing as a part of the 10th grade humane letters course, during the 2021-2022 school year. She has worked part-time as an editor, assisting high school and college students in the college and graduate school application process, from 2019- the spring of 2023. Before staying home with her children and attending seminary, Gretchen taught 6th and 7th grade English at Palmetto Christian Academy in Mt. Pleasant, 7th and 8th grade English at Pinewood Preparatory School in Summerville, and 9th-11th grade English and writing at The Antilles School on St. Thomas, USVI. She has also assisted in teaching English and creative writing at The Governor’s School West of North Carolina summer program. Gretchen is a grateful participant in small groups, both through the Parish Church of St. Helena and through The Parish Church at Habersham. Gretchen's husband, Jamie, is vicar of The Parish Church, Habersham, a mission of the Diocese of South Carolina and they have three children, 11, 7, and almost 2. They are an active family of six counting their French Brittany puppy.
