The Rev. Jon Furst to Join HTCCS

Rev. Jon, his wife Bethany, and their children Ada and Shepherd will move to Beaufort this summer. Please take a moment to read Rev. Jon's bio is shown below - you will be impressed with his depth of experience. When you meet Rev. Jon in person, you will be impressed with his warmth, humility, and grace. He and his family will be a tremendous addition to Holy Trinity, as has been Rev. Joe and his family. Please pray for both families as they make big moves this summer, and welcome Rev. Jon!

Beginning this August, the Rev. Jonathan Furst will join Holy Trinity to serve as Chaplain and Dept. Chair of Humanities.  He is joined by his wife, Bethany, son Shepherd (11) and daughter Ada (14).He hails from many places, including San Diego, Philadelphia, Columbia, SC, Ithaca, NY, and most recently, the United Kingdom. Currently, he is wrapping up five years at Kingham Hill School, where he directs a program for American students, serves as one of the chaplains, leads weekly Christian Union Bible studies, and teaches classes. Prior to his current appointment, he was an assistant priest and college minister at Church of the Apostles in Columbia, and taught social studies at Ben Lippen School. Over his career, he’s taught a variety of subjects, including Economics,  AP English Literature, AP English Language and Composition, AP US Government and Politics, and AP US History, and is looking forward to teaching at Holy Trinity. He holds an MA (Theological Studies) in church history from Regent College and a BA in humanities and biblical studies from Columbia International University.
