XC State Championship - HOLY TRINITY

On Saturday, Nov. 2, Holy Trinity’s varsity teams traveled to Heathwood Hall in Columbia to compete in the SCISA Class A state cross country meet. Holy Trinity’s girls fought hard every step of the way to narrowly emerge victorious over Low Country Prep by three points. Holy Trinity had three girls in the top ten: 7th place Ellie Schaub (10th grade) with a time of 22:43, 9th place Izzy Hipple (10th grade), and 10th place Hannah Reedy (11th grade).


Holy Trinity’s boys ran away with the meet beating out 15 teams and prevailing over runner-up South Aiken by 46 points! Collin Durham (12th grade) was an individual state champion for Holy Trinity winning with a time of 16:38. Luke Greene (11th grade) finished 5th overall with Logan Lawson (12th grade) finishing 9th overall.


The coaching duo of Josiah Tobin and Hillary Tobin now have a combined six XC state titles in four years of competition with SCISA.


Holy Trinity also won the local SCISA regional race (A and AA) for both boys and girls on Thursday, October 24th defeating Beaufort Academy, John Paul II, Hilton Head Prep, and Hilton Head Christian Academy.
