BEAUFORT, SC – In cooperation with the City of Beaufort, Holy Trinity Classical Christian School along with their event sponsors are offering a new community race event in downtown Beaufort that features the Woods Memorial Bridge. On Saturday, Oct. 19, the public is invited to participate in the Swing Bridge 5K & Sunrise Prayer Walk. In addition to the 5K, there will be a 1 mile family run and a prayer walk. The cost to register for the 5K is $35 and includes a T-Shirt (must register by Oct. 5). The 1 mile run is $10 per person (no T-Shirt) and the prayer walk is free.

“Let’s go down to the river to pray….” A community gathering to pray for our schools and for our children.
Please join us for a Community Prayer Gathering at 7:15 am on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in downtown Beaufort. The time of prayer will be led by Bishop Mark Lawrence of the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina and will conclude with a walk across the Woods Memorial Bridge led by the Rev. John Chol Daau, headmaster of Holy Trinity’s sister school in South Sudan. All are welcome at this free event.
The walk is part of the Swing Bridge 5K and Sunrise Prayer Walk which begins at 8:15 am. In addition to the walk and 5K run, the event includes a 1-mile family run. Participants will cross the Woods Memorial Bridge whether they are walking or running.
