Swing Bridge 5K
…Virtual This Year!

Saturday, October 17, 2020

Our first-ever Swing Bridge 5K was a huge hit last year! In order to keep everyone safe for this year’s race, we’re going virtual! So, what does that mean?

  • You still get to run a 5K, but you are able to choose your course.
  • Your time will be submitted by email to Swingbridge5K@htccs.org by midnight on Saturday, October 17.
  • Winners will be announced on Sunday, October 18.
  • Use the button below to register and pay online. You can choose from the 5K, 2K or no run options… 5K is $35 per runner; 2K “Tater Tot” is $25 per runner. Students & Faculty who register receive a FREE T-Shirt.
  • Don’t run, no problem. Sign up as a “Couch Potato” for a $25 donation.
  • Swing Bridge 5K T-Shirt – $15.

Included in this year’s Swing Bridge 5K is our commitment to tithe 10% of our net income to our sister school Good Shepherd Academy in South Sudan. *

2020 Prayer Gathering
…A Pray at Home Event

October 16-18

This year, our 2nd Annual Prayer Gathering will be a “Pray at Home Event.” We will be praying for our school, our city, state, country, for the world, for relief from COVID, for Good Shepherd Academy, and for the spread of the Gospel around the world among other things. Please join us in prayer over the weekend (Friday, October 16-Sunday, October 18).

The prayer guide is available HERE.

Thank you for your prayers and support throughout the year.

* Good Shepherd Academy

Our relationship with Good Shepherd Academy began in the Fall of 2017. The Rev. John Chol Daau is the headmaster of Good Shepherd Academy (GSA) and was in seminary with our headmaster Rev. Chad Lawrence.  Rev. Lawrence learned Rev. John had founded a school in South Sudan very much like ours. As a matter of fact, GSA was adding a grade per year the same as we were, so Rev. Lawrence reached out to Rev. John and a partnership was formed. In addition to lending financial support through this fundraiser, we have also become prayer partners—each praying for the needs of the other. Soli Deo Gloria!
