Lori Hinson has more than 20 years of experience in the classroom.
During her first 3 years at Holy Trinity she served as a first grade teacher. Prior to that, Hinson educated lowcountry students at Broad River, Port Royal, and Okatie elementary schools. She also held teaching positions across the US early in her career, to include New Jersey, Missouri, and Hawaii.
“I love taking care of students and never imagined leaving the classroom. But, when the opportunity for lower school principal presented itself, I realized I could expand my nurturing instinct to the entire lower school, supporting every student who commences their educational journey at Holy Trinity.”
Lori Hinson holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Studies from Radford University.
Lori Hinson is a member of Cross Community Church and serves in leadership and hospitality. She also volunteers with the Community Services for Hunting Island and Community Services in her neighborhood. In addition, she has been involved with the Soup at Washington Street Park ministry, Family Promise, and the Radiance Women’s Center.
She enjoys reading, walking, and healthy cooking. At school, she heads up our Prayer Ministry and also serves as Activities Director. When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband in the mountains of North Carolina, rafting, kayaking and hiking with their dogs.
She likes working with like-minded staff who want to teach students about the knowledge and love of Jesus, while influencing character and providing an education that is grounded in having the tools they need to become lifelong learners.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
