Statement of Faith

“There is a narrative shape to how God has revealed Himself to us in the Scriptures, and this narrative purports to be the narrative within which all the events of human history have their meaning, and from which we can interpret and judge them.”- Clark & Jain, The Liberal Arts Tradition

BELIEVERS

“Members of the Board of Governors, of the Board of Trustees, the Headmaster and staff of Holy Trinity Classical Christian School, Inc. must be wholeheartedly committed to the central and foundational beliefs and principles of the Christian faith reflected in this statement of faith. The substance of this statement will be considered primary doctrine and will be unapologetically taught in various ways through all grade levels. Secondary or divisive doctrines and issues will be referred back to the family and local church for final authority. We seek to build Christian unity between students and families and pledge that, empowered by the Holy Spirit; the School will never drift from stressing the central doctrines that promote the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Section 3.02)

While Holy Trinity does not require parents of students to agree with the statement of faith in its entirety, “Parents and Guardians of students must affirm by written statement their acknowledgment that their child will be educated according to the Foundational Principles of this Article” (Section 3.01 of the Bylaws of Holy Trinity Classical Christian School, Inc.).

We believe in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; one God, three distinct Persons.

We believe in the Holy Scriptures as divine revelation, inerrantly inspired by God, containing all things necessary to salvation and the practice of life.

We believe in the One Savior of mankind, Jesus Christ, who in His person is both fully God and fully man; of one substance with the Father as regards his Godhead, and at the same time of one substance with us as regards his manhood.

We believe in the perfect obedience of Christ, His true and actual suffering, His substitutionary and atoning death on the cross, and His bodily resurrection and ascension as the only means given for our salvation and reconciliation with God.

We believe in faith alone as the only grounds for the merits of Christ being imputed to us for our justification before God (justification by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone).

We believe in the consummate return of Jesus Christ in glory to judge the living and the dead, and a belief in the bodily resurrection from the dead of all people and their entrance into either eternal damnation or everlasting blessedness.

We believe in the One, Holy, catholic, and Apostolic Church as those souls that have been redeemed entirely by the work of Christ and called out of bondage into freedom, out of darkness into light, out of error into truth, out of death into eternal life.

We believe that the church exists to worship the Triune God and to lift up the Savior Jesus Christ before all people through the faithful preaching and teaching of the Gospel, through prayer, and through the faithful administration of the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion or the Eucharist).

We believe that the Historic creeds of the Church accurately express the essence of the Christian faith.
God is COOL

"I like learning about God at school because He is so cool. He created everything, including us." -Grace Carter, HTCCS student
